Know where you're coming from there, Simon! I am absolutely sure that my Simon will be utterly mortified by all my comments and blog posts; in fact, he may well disown me for the rest of his adolescence! But, as I've told him before, parents are meant to be embarrassing: It's good for the child's soul(!) and ensures that said offspring does, eventually, leave the nest...
